The Chair Education and Adolescence is a space dedicated to foreseeing and identifying new needs in adolescence to promote research and educational innovation and to meet these needs in an effective, efficient and sustainable manner.
This is a forum for identifying best practices in schools that foster an appropriate transition to adulthood for adolescents and for research in this field using scientifically recognized methods.
The Chair is led by the University of Lleida and is the result of joint efforts by the University of Lleida and the Government of Catalonia’s departments of Education and Health in tribute to Abel Martínez Oliva, a teacher who died as a result of a teenager’s attack on a school.
The main functions of the Chair are research, training and dissemination.
