ASSUMPTA ESTRADA ROCA

Assumpta Estrada is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Lleida, with a teaching position in the Department of Education, Psychology and Social Work. She is a member of the Research Group on Statistics Education of the University of Granada and of the GRISIJ joint group (ref. 2014SGR-00906) of the Government of Catalonia

She teaches on topics in statistics education, and her main line of research is the study of teachers’ attitudes towards statistics. She is an expert in training teachers, which is her second line of research, and has developed aspects related to the introduction of new technologies. The author of scientific articles on the teaching of mathematics, she has directed several doctoral theses in this field.

Her experience in university administration includes the posts of vice-rector for University Extension and vice-president of the University of Lleida’s Management Committee, among others. She is currently responsible for the double degree programme in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education.
